accepted insurance
We do bill insurance companies for acupuncture. The million-dollar question is, does your insurance cover acupuncture?
Insurance coverage for acupuncture varies:
● In-Network Providers: Suffolk County, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and the Department of Veterans Affairs Community Care.
● Out-of-Network Providers: NYSHIP/United Health Care (for NY State employees, including most school districts), Cigna, and Aetna (coverage depends on the employer).
● Covered by: No-Fault Insurance/Motor Vehicle Accidents.
● Not Covered: Medicare, Medicaid, or Workers’ Compensation.
If acupuncture treatment is required due to an accident or injury, your medical insurance may cover the costs of your treatment. For information specific to your provider, please call your insurance company.
